Black Friday, White Sweaters & Gold Ornaments

White House Black Market. One of my favorite stores that I don't shop at because of the price. This window is so festive and I love it. The gold ad white ornaments along with the tree make the window pop. I know it's hard to see but there are four mannequins which balance the window out nicely. Proportion is showed through the height of the mannequins, the tree, the blocks below the ornaments, and where the signage is placed. Emphasized is white/cream because of the clothing, ornament colors and blocks.

Pottery Barn Gave Me Feels

I've ALWAYS loved Pottery Barn, I want to take their setups and put it in my house. I love these two windows in particular for Pottery Barn Kids because it reminds me of my childhood, the dollhouse in particular. Proportion is shown with the height of the garland, the chandelier and the dollhouse. These items balance out the window with the signage in the top right, so it looks nice a full. The holiday spirit is definitely the emphasis here.

GAP's Sweater Weather

The first thing that caught my window? The RED! Red is my favorite color, and my eyes went from piece to piece in this window. The two mannequins balance out the window with the signage in the middle. The height of the sign added proportion to the mannequins and ground. The red blocks add some contrast with the darker pants to the window to make your eye travel. Sweaters are emphasized because they are on the mannequins and signage. It's time to prepare for this snowy weather!

Bath & Body Brings Joy

Joyful. This word is what caught my attention and then I realized the snowmen below. Snow and the holidays bring me nothing but joy. I love the simplicity and somewhat smallness of this window. The big snowman balances everything around him, the two snowmen on the left and the product dominance on the right. The two snowmen on the left are proportionate with the product on the right. Rhythm is created with the amount of pieces for each product. RED is emphasized with the lettering, the bows, and hats and scarves.

Sweater Weather Approaches

I'm so pleased with the way Maurice's executed their window. It is as white as snow and makes me feel at home. It sets the mood for the upcoming winter season. Balance is shown with the three mannequins and the log post to the right. Proportion is shown with with the different heights of the mannequins, accessories like the logs, and the signage along with the width between each of these. Sweaters are emphasized with being on all three mannequins and in the marketing.

Be NancyBGood

While in East Nashville, we visited a small square of boutiques that included chocolate, antiques, apparel, and more. Nancy B Good is one of those with apparel. I was surprised when I went into the store to see the variety of clothing she had which was target at different age groups. I was not too much impressed with her windows but I did like the placement of the pieces included. Yes, I know you can see Nicole and I in the window... The top window has nice balance with the two mannequins displayed. It takes up a majority of the window with is always a plus. The second window has good proportion with the height of the mannequin and the display table below it. Fall is emphasized with the thick scarf and fur vest.

Drape Me in Draper James

While in Nashville, we were able to stop at Reese Witherspoon's new store, Draper James. I have never walked into a store and wanted to be a part of it in my entire life. I felt so at home and like I NEEDED to be here. I'm so impressed with the way it had turn out. I love every single one of these windows. Balance is shown with the two windows with three mannequins and the two windows with one mannequin. Skirts and dresses are emphasized because they are displayed the most. Rhythm is well kept throughout the store with the windows with mannequins going 1-3-1-3. I quite enjoy that this window with "Pretty as a picture" on the side of her building. Absolute best visit.
